The Future You are Already Living

It’s wild how fast the years move. Between early darkness, holiday chaos creeping in and a late Thanksgiving, November could easily become a blur.

And as always,  it can also be an opportunity — an opportunity to slow things down.

I always start my next year’s planning in October and November, so this season naturally becomes one of reflection. 🤔

Recently, I heard someone say:

“If you want to know what your future looks like, take a look at last week.”

WOWWW — that hit.

Our future doesn’t start in January. It started last week, last month, last year. It’s being built quietly in our daily rhythm — our habits, how we spend our time, what we choose to ignore, what we choose to call in, and where our energy actually goes.

If last week felt rushed, off-balance, or reactive — that’s information. That might be a sign to course-correct before the calendar flips.
If it looked grounded, connected, and intentional (and that’s your aim), that’s the blueprint. Repeat that. Guard that. Build more of that into your weeks ahead.

The future’s just more of whatever last week looked like… unless we choose differently. 🌅

As I’ve been sitting with that idea, it’s also showing up in my work.
The close of the year isn’t just about checking boxes — it’s about aligning the details with the life you’re building.

What I’m discussing w/clients in Nov. (usually over tea)…🍵💼

✅ Reviewing and finalizing benefits before open enrollment ends
✅ Discussing Roth and making final 401(k) contributions
✅ Reviewing charitable giving and donation strategies
✅ Checking for tax saving opportunities to increase net income
✅ Confirming beneficiaries and updating estate documents
✅ Scheduling final advisor meetings of the year to close out 2025

These aren’t earth-shattering, but they’re powerful. If you don’t have someone guiding this process with you, you could be missing opportunities — the kind that quietly add up to real peace and freedom down the road.

(And if this list makes your head spin or your shoulders tighten, that’s exactly what I help with — let’s talk before the year wraps.)

If you’re being intentional, slowing down, figuring things out too — your rhythm 🎵, your next chapter 📖, or simply what matters most 💭— let’s do this together🌱.

So here’s my question to you:
If your future really does look like last week… what’s one thing you would repeat, and one thing you would rewrite?

You don’t have to know exactly. Book a time and share a little.✍🏽

Shoutout to those who hit reply last month 💌. I read every word. The stories, the transparency, the growth—it’s a reminder that what we are doing is seen and heard. That we’re building more than inbox noise… we’re building connection.

Until next time,
True
